Meet the founders
Before co-founding Utelias, and South View Studio, Françoise led Tesla’s expansion in Mexico and Southeast United States in her role as GM/Country Director. From strategy to sales, policy, operations, and financial solutions, she managed the building blocks of the company introducing Model X, Model 3 and energy products into her markets. Françoise built the executive and front-line teams as well as the infrastructure needed to increase electric mobility in new regions. Françoise also brings over 25 years of experience scaling businesses and developing brands across the technology, automotive, and retail sectors. She has led multicultural teams in various international roles at L’Oréal, Louis Vuitton, Walmart and currently advises companies and investment funds on strategy, sustainability, and mobility. Françoise is a Business graduate of McGill University, holds a master’s degree in Statistics from HEC and completed a Top Management program at ITAM. She is a board/committee advisor to Endeavor, Kronia Technologies, Pakfab, CiBanco, Solfium, SSL, Secure Witness and is an angel investor in start-ups.
Marielle de Spa is a foresight, talent & career strategist with a professional expertise in Global Leadership Futures, Transformation & Growth. Her professional background in global C-suite executive search and leadership consulting, a cross-cultural upbringing and multiple international transitions have provided her with comprehensive expertise on global careers, cross culture leadership management & talent acquisition strategies.
Marielle firmly believes that the Future of Work will call for full-spectrum thinking, life-long learning and continuous professional transitioning. She therefore advocates for business leaders to strategically focus their talent and human capital strategies on people first, competency-based and adaptive cross-cultural leadership teams. Marielle is also the founder of TCKapital a Strategic Foresight and Leadership Futures consultancy, and an advisor to international organizations, start-ups and senior corporate leadership for 20 years + across the Americas and Europe. Currently serving on the executive board of Mujeres Avenir a women’s advancement non-profit, she also advises Transcendalia, an AI mental health & well-being start-up, and Amplifica Capital, a pioneer female-first investment fund in Latin America.
Marielle is an International Relations & Foreign Policy graduate from Tufts University, and a certified Strategic Foresight & Futures Thinking practitioner from the Institute for the Future (IFTF) in Palo Alto, California. She holds executive certifications for International & Cross-Cultural negotiation from ESSEC and Private Equity/Venture Capital from SDA Bocconi. She is also a Graduate Gemologist (GG) from the GIA and Master Valuer Jewelry Appraiser from CIFJT.
